I originally wrote the text to slip in to accompany one of my videos with the same title.

 

My text dealt with forms of artistic expression and the use value of art in society.

 

I sent my text out to a number of acquaintances as well as to people I didn’t know personally, and asked them to comment on my text. The video and the text made up an interactive performance, in which I read out some extracts from the text after the video was shown.
